On March 14–15, the Hack the Classroom educational hackathon took place—a 48-hour intensive focused on creating innovative educational solutions using artificial intelligence. 💡 Participants tackled real-world challenges in modern education: from personalized learning to automated assignment grading and the creation of adaptive platforms. 🔥 Great news—the team, which included Mykyta Shabanov, won the hackathon! Over the course of two days, the team developed a functional prototype of an educational product that demonstrated practical value and potential for further development. 🚀 This is yet another proof that our students are not only keeping up with technology but also creating solutions that shape the future of education. 👏 Congratulations on the victory, and we wish you new achievements!
A team of students from the Department of Software Engineering took part in the “Brave Students: Drone with Paws” engineering competition organized by Brave1—a challenge where young people create real-world defense tech solutions for the needs of the front lines. 💡 The task was no easy feat: to develop a special mount for an FPV drone that allows it to attach to various surfaces without consuming energy and resume flight when needed. 👩💻 A team of students worked on the project: Andriy Tarasov (5th year), Liliana Mirchuk (4th year), Anastasiia Veretilnyk (4th year), Yaryna Olenyn (4th year), Andrii Hrechyn (3rd year) 🔥 Based on the selection results, our team was chosen by manufacturers for further work, which means we have the opportunity to develop the solution alongside leading experts and test it in real-world conditions. This is yet another proof that students of the Department of Software Engineering not only study but also create technologies that have a real impact 💙 👏 We are proud of our students and wish them success in the next stages!
Thank you to everyone who attended the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems’ Open House—it was incredibly rewarding to see such enthusiasm and so many motivated prospective students 💙 📚 During the event, we introduced guests to our educational programs, discussed career opportunities in the field of AI, shared student experiences, and gave a behind-the-scenes look at what studying at the department is like. 🤝 A special thank you to everyone who made this event possible—students, faculty, and every participant—for your engagement, insightful questions, and lively conversation. 📢 And this is just the beginning! We’re already planning new meetings in May and June with exciting workshops where you can dive even deeper into the world of artificial intelligence, try your hand at practical tasks, and get to know the department better. 🚀 Stay tuned for updates—there are even more opportunities and events ahead!
